time and distance

Saturday... I haven't worked a Saturday night in non-smoking in a long time, but I think we were busy for a Saturday. I guess it's the NCAA football. We were steady until 10.. 11.. around then. It was party central - there were party tables everywhere and everyone was getting mad that their tables were getting stolen.

Walter kept changing the floor chart so the big parties would be all in one section, to make everything 'fair' but I the sections still weren't even so I was asking why he did it they way he did. Of couse, he is like you give up your shifts and get people to close for you and blah blah. I gave up a close ONCE when I had to be at the airport at 5am. He said he was doing me a favor by giving me a Monday bar shift, even though I never work Mondays but he said he didn't know that, yah sure, that's why I'm never scheduled. I told him I had a massage thing to do (I picked to do it Monday because I figured I would be off) so that's why I gave it up. So, yah, thanks for the one bar shift on the day I NEVER work, smart ass.

Since we were busy it made everyone more lazy on the side work, I hate that shit so much! The closer doesn't have side work for a reason, but people can't keep up with running side work so the closer has to even more extra shit anyway. I am a team player and all, but after you clean other's tables, sweep up their sections, do the dishes over and over, it gets old, fast. You're welcome for the help and thanks for returning the favor, lazy asses.

The Dish network guys always come in on Saturday nights - they didn't sit in my section but I stole them anyway. They always eat a shitload of wings, drink a bunch of sodypop, and tip well! I'm going to get Dish network! DVR babyy!

Mr. Ed Simpson, one of my massage therapy teachers, came in for dinner. I didn't get to serve him but I sat and chatted with him for a bit. I miss him and I can tell he misses us, we were his favorite! (Hey Matt, he wants to meet you!) He said the clinic students lately aren't doing well and the pass/fail rate is lower. I don't think it's the teachers fault, at all, but he said they're making it like it is him. It's the students, they have to want to do well, especially in a hands on field like massage therapy. You can't learn everything out of a book, it's not all about the traditional notes, outlines, flash card, memorization stuff. It's about patience, practice, practice, practice, and dedication. I remember learning hands on, it was my favorite part and I practiced everyday after school! That's why I got A's and did well on my preceptors and student evaluations!

Jeremy and Brandon came in for some drinks so I was talking to them for a while. They're always giving me a hard time, especially about massage therapy, the dirty jokes will never end. I was just standing there with my hands on the table, and then Jeremy started looking at my hands. I'm like what are you looking at? I've seen him a few times since September 29, and he JUST noticed my rock, haha.

The Red Wings lost pretty bad tonight, they need to step it up! :[

I was there til 2:30 cleaning up shit because three or four tables decided to stay until closing time, that never happens in non-smoking. I couldn't do trash, cups, spit bucket, chairs, floor... until they left. I had to take Evelyn and John home so they helped me a bit! :) After I did my check out, I had $137, then I found $15 on the floor!! $152 babyy!

I was drinking a Red Bull and cranberry juice throughout the end of the night, so I was kind of wired and talking a lot. I blame this for my ADD on the phone with Matt. I'm sorry babe.

We were bickering all night and I don't like bickering because it (usually) gets you nowhere. In the end you just realize you're BOTH being stupid, you BOTH need to try harder to not give up, and everything will be okay... because we LOVE each other. I love you Matt Drake.
