there are way to many thoughts.

im pretty sure my last blog was before thanksgiving, so i need to go way back. in all, its been about a week since my last. last wednesday school was let out early so we can leave to go on vacation for thanksgiving leave. i pretty much ran to change and then to see my family in chicago.

the condo we stayed in was fucking amazing!!!!! the views, the experiences, the lessons learned, and the things i got to do. the memories will never die. in only 15 days, i get to go home for the remainder of 2009 and be with family and friends again. 2010 looks like its going to be a great year. 2009 wasnt all that bad. not great, but not bad.

school has been the same-ol same-ol. i did make class leader, so thats cool. its not like i really do anything extra awesome. im just waiting for the weekend to get here. i wanna get my glasses Jaclyn bought for me while she was in town. i love her so very much. no words will ever describe my true appreciation for her and all that does for me.

I miss Chicago - I miss Matt Drake. My Thanksgiving week was pretty much amazing and it sucked that it had to end. :[

expo

Today was uber boring. I worked this morning and made a whopping $11. Ginger, Addie, and Drew came in for lunch so I talked to them for a bit! Deanne asked me if I would expo tonight, so I said I would (I had nothing else to do).

Expo isn't too bad, I kept myself busy.

Jill, Randy, and Kim came in with some of their friends and Jordan met them up there. Kim was so drunk and she was acting crazy! It's weird seeing my family like that! Jason and Tiffany came in for dinner, and poor Tiffany doesn't really get along with that part of the family. Oh well. Best of intentions, I guess.

There was some drama, always. Same people, different day.

I made $17 in tips cashier/expo. I was taking a few orders so I kept the tips. I took one order of 300 wings and bagged it, but Jasmine rung him up, so I had to spilt the $20 tip with her. Oh well, I'm not complaining. The expo usually doesn't get any tips.

I got off at 10 and came straight home. I'm so tired...

massage day 1

My first day at Massage Envy! I got there at 2 and set up everything for my insurance. I didn't need training or anything, so I just hung out in the lounge until my first appointment at 3. I was talking to Jenn about Jake, he doesn't work there anymore, he was my favorite! Alexa doesn't work there anymore either! Some people were new to me, and some were familiar.

My first appointment was an hour. She was on crutches with a knee brace so it made me extra nervous. I hope I did okay!

My second appointment was an hour and it went well, I think he liked me! He said 'see you next time' when he left, so maybe he will request me!

You can tell when someone smokes, their body puts off this (kind of) strong odor. It's weird.

My third appointment was an hour and a half couples massage with Carl. Carl is a character. My client said it was very relaxing. I definitely felt lessed rushed with the hour and a half.

I got an hour break. It was originally an hour and a half but my 8 o'clock appointment was a half hour early, so they moved him up and I got to leave at 9!

My last appointment was also an hour. He seemed pleased also. (I feel so repetitive!)

Overall I did 4 and a half hours of massaging and my body felt fine! I was just a little thirsty and my wrist felt stressed, but not too painful. I just have to get back in the habit. All of my tips were on credit card, so I don't get them until payday. I'm curious to see what my checks will be like!

I had a text from Cole saying he was at Bdubbs and that they missed me, so I went there when I got off. I hung out with Cole, Dave, and his girlfriend (Alex?). I ate a buffalo ranch wrap and some fries. I surely worked up my appetite! Dave was acting so crazy, he was drunk. I had a good time, they kept me amused. When Dave left, I stayed and talked to Cole for a while.

I got home around 12...

thursday

The Dish Network guy showed up at 8am. I let him in then passed right back out for a few hours. Lucy was cuddling with me. When I woke up, I watched House season 2 episodes until the Dish was completely set up! I set up my recording schedule, all the CSIs, some Law and Order, and some other random shows.

Work was decent. Brian and Chase were my first table, my mom eventually got there and sat with them. Brian tipped me $50, and wrote ‘congrats on school, love ya’ on the receipt. Awe, I miss him so much!

If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have made that much. We were steady and luckily I had booths, so they were rotating. Poker wasn’t very exciting; most of them don’t order anything. I think it’s a waste of money to pay the poker guy for what he does, but it doesn’t matter what I think about it.

The Dish Network guy called me while I was at work. He said that somehow my kitten got in his cable box and was in his van! So he brought her up to me and I put her in my car. Evelyn picked her up and took her home for me. The poor little darlin was so scared!

David got mad at me and called me a 'stickler' because I was making him do all his side work. He was irritating the hell out of me. I wasn't going to let him get away with bullshitting his side work, but he did get away without sweeping under his booths. Oh well. It was amusing, seeing him get irritated. A stickler?! Really?!

Deanne took forever to check us out, so we were all just chilling and talking about the most random shit until 3am. I took John home and then called Matty...

cleaning, fml

Yet another boring morning shift. I only made $10.

Then I went to Petsmart and spent all my moneys on food for Ralph. :)

I came home. I feed Ralph. I started cleaning the living room and doing laundry. I went to Target to get a bill organizer. I went to Kohl's to get pants for Massage Envy. I looked in juniors, misses, and kids and couldn't find pants to fit me. I went in the active section and found some comfy yoga pants, perfect! Then I went back home. I ate some cereal and now I'm procastinating cleaning my room. I have to clear an area around my tv for the Dish Network guys, they're coming tomorrow!

No one will buy my 311 tickets, so I'm negative $107.

Matt told me he already got tickets for the Dallas @ Redskins game December 27, and I'm scheduled to work.

Taylor just told me that I have to drive separate to Chicago. Gee, poor Lola is going to be aching! :[

What else is going to get thrown at me?!

tuesday

I had to work another morning shift. Brice bought me a Pepsi from Walgreen's! :) We had to portion after the truck came, again. I only made $19. Morning shifts are always the same = boring.

On my break, I went to my mom's work to get a copy of my license and to print a calendar to write my schedule. Then I went to Massage Envy to talk to Chris. I filled out all my paperwork and got my shirts. I start Friday, yay! After I left there, I went to KFC to get some food!

Then it was back to work I went. It was slow, felt slower only having a three table section. Brian and Sam came in for a few drinks, but sat in smoking. I sat with them and chatted for a while. The highlight of my night was talking with him. He was telling me a story about his crazy ex, talking with his hands, and knocked over his full beer - all over him, the table, and the floor. Silly. I only made $38.

This one girl pissed me off. It's always the same two girls that I can't stand. Ugh! I want to say something so bad... I don't care how many tables you have or how busy or slow you are, you have to do your share of side work and silverware. Some people rather complain that they're not making any money then go sit at the bar and drink with their boyfriend. You're cool.

I went to Wal-Mart when I got off to get a few things i.e. soap, deodorant, mouthwash, 'BOO' Pepsi cans, milk, and cereal.

I ate some cereal and watched tv when I got home...

traditions

I went to Waffle House with Evelyn this morning, so delicious!

I ordered Dish Network and I'm getting it installed Thursday morning!

I cleaned Ralph's tank, it was much needed.

I went to the bank and deposited $400.

The only thing I have to look forward to: dinner and tv with Jason and Tiffany. I got to Jason's around 5. I played some DJ Hero until he was done with his conference call. We went to Hooter's for dinner. I got crab legs, of course. Then we went to Wal-Mart to get Pepsi and sunflower seeds.

Jason had to leave at 8:50 to go back to work! :[

We watched House, Accidentally on Purpose, Big Bang Theory, and Castle. All were excellent. I'm sad Cameron is leaving off House. Big Bang Theory was hysterical! Imagine geeks on special brownies!!! Fantastic.

sunday

Sunday wasn't a great day. I had to work a double, I picked up a night shift for Kristen because I could use the extra hours.

Tabitha and I always walk to Walgreen's and Subway when we work mornings together. We got 2 20 ounce bottles of Pepsi and got Leo a pack of cigarettes and our total was $6.66. Subway didn't have cookies, so I called them lazy, haha.

The morning shift was decent, minus this one lady getting in my face! Her husband had A LOT to drink and I'm not one to overcharge, but thanks for the accusation lady!! When I gave him his tab he was like there is no way I drank that much, but that's what they all say. Then, of course, the wife butted in about it. First of all, she wasn't there half the time he was! As I was talking to Evelyn about it, she comes up to me and starts bitching. What was I supposed to do? I'm not getting you free shit for you alcoholic husband - go home and drink a 24 pack of your stupid Miller Lite bottles. Whatever, she paid her $70 tab and gave me an $11 tip, more than I thought I would get.

Shift change didn't go that smooth. I felt like I was the only one working, but that's how I feel more than half the time yet I get NO recognition for my hard work.

Oh yah, the closer decided to call out and Chuck said if someone didn't volunteer to close, then we all would have to. 3 out of 5 of us were doubles, Stewie was about to go into overtime, and then Rachel, she's just lazy. So Walter pulls me aside to talk. He said since I get whatever I want schedule-wise, that I should close. The way he put it was basically that I didn't have a choice if I wanted my request offs granted. Lucky me, I had to work 17 hours straight.

The only thing that sucks about serving people that are watching football is that the sit there for 3 hours and only tip 15%, and in non-smoking you get more sodas than alcohol, so you really feel like you're working for free.

I had this one table of kids, probably my age, and they all were drinking sodas or waters. They sat there for the 1 o'clock games AND the 4 o'clock games and half of them didn't tip. Parents need to teach their kids how to tip, please!

There was one table of three guys that sat through most of the Patriots/Colts game. One of the guys went up to the bar, got a beer, and came back. When he was done with it, I asked him if he wanted another, he said no he will go to the bar because he has cash. That is so annoying, haha. He ended up tipping good though, along with leaving his name, number, and 'text me' his receipt, loser.

Jeremy and one of his friends came in for some beers. I sat and talked with them because I was bored. His friend talks way too much. I hung out with them two before and I don't think I even got the chance to say a whole sentence, haha.

Funny side note story time: There is a regular named Kelly and she was getting schwasted and even more since Green Bay won! A few hours later, her husband is calling up there to see if she was still there, and no she wasn't. He said that she just called him and said she was sitting in front of the Golden Tee machine. That's a big negative! Do I smell a lyin', cheatin', son of a gun!?

Walter took care of my dinner since I closed. Thank you. I also asked about me working another job, he said he would approve of it since I was bettering myself. I hope that means I could still get decent shifts and work part time at Massage Envy.

Closing wasn't too bad because I made $195. I didn't get out of there until 2, I was trying to get out early!

Matt and I had a good phone conversation, it was just too short. I love our random discussions, it just sucks when we disagree because we're both stubborn and always have to be right! I love him.

saturday

I didn’t do diddly squat during the day, because I didn’t have to.

I went to work at 4. It was a decent night. I had booths so I was rotating my tables and it was steady all night. I got cut around 11ish. I had this one table just sit there texting on their phones after they paid and that held me up like an extra half hour!

I went to Jeremy’s house when I got off. I had left my hat there Friday night so I wanted to get it back. He wouldn’t give it to me, he hid it and I couldn’t find it. So I said fuck it and I just stayed and watched tv with him. We watched the end of Robin Hood Men in Tights and Dane Cook, who was fucking hilarious!! I left after that. He still wouldn’t give me my hat so I walked to my car and five seconds behind me he walked out to my car and finally gave it back, haha.

Matt and I got in a semi-big and dumb argument about his best friend… I could go on but I don’t really want to.
